Why network documentation is so vital in North Sydney?
We can’t tell you how many projects we have worked on in which the customer has little or zero network documentation North Sydney. The reasons behind lack of this system are different. In many scenarios, this is both the fault of the customer and the vendor that designed and applied the network. The vendor just doesn’t do it and the customer doesn’t press hard enough for it. In some scenarios, technology consultants don’t feel it’s vital enough or want to lock the customer into having to call them, if something goes wrong or a configuration that should be changed.
Not only is this poor trend on the side of the consultant, it may have a striking effect on the future growth of a customer, enhance the costs of future network diagnostics and upgrades, and can negatively affect the security of the network of the customers.
Before we tell you the primary items that should be documented in respect to network diagram software North Sydney, we first want to give you instances of what we have not documented and what issues it may cause.
During one of our past projects in North Sydney, which was basically to apply a new firewall and to safeguard many of the internal systems, we ran into some big problems. None of the basic server systems were documented. No one knew what server did what, how much disk space, memory, what type of processors and in some cases, didn’t know what operating system was installed. In worst cases, during our initial review, we located three servers in a wardrobe, on a different floor, that no one knew even existed!
Due to the lack of zero network documentation North Sydney, no one knew what should be done to maintain their enterprise AV system. When we finally decided what the admin password was to log in to the AV services, we found that Virus signatures had not been updated in the past six months. Then we found that the system was not even working and most of the systems on the network were infected with worms and virus.
If you are a customer and have a consultant or systems integrator working on the application of a new network or upgrading a current one, demand them to offer you a complete documentation of the network. And, it might actually keep your business from experiencing long periods of down time.
